Green Fusion is looking to hire an enthusiastic and bright Frontend Developer Working student / Intern to build open source energy management software to make domestic energy use environmentally friendly from Q1 2021.

We are an early-stage start-up creating software to remotely monitor and optimize energy systems for buildings. Our offering is to make software which can combine a building’s heating, electricity and e-mobility (electric car) systems to allow synergies between these different sectors. To do this, it is critical we have a powerful user interface optimized for ease-of-use and based on modern web technology.


The successful applicant will be working together with the founders, especially our CTO and our UX designer to create web pages to improve our current product. These pages will be the frontend for important functionality within our product, so they will be immediately deployed and connected to backend services.

You are:

  • A student doing their bachelors or masters
  • Passionate about user interfaces and having a positive impact on the climate
  • Experienced with HTML, CSS and Javascript and aware of concepts therein.
  • Proficient in working-level English
  • Interested in writing clean, maintainable code

It would be nice if you have:

  • Working-level German
  • Experience with React
  • Knowledge and experience communicating with backend services via an API
  • Experience with version control via Git
  • Interest in Renewable Energy/IOT/Open source technology
