This is an applicant-facing, administrative role on the Admissions team, reporting to the Director of Admissions. As the Admissions Associate, you’ll interface with applicants on a daily basis via email, Intercom, social media channels and Slack with the ultimate goal of advising prospective students on which courses best suit their interests. Additionally, you’ll perform a variety departmental administrative tasks and assist with projects as needed. This is a non-technical role that requires strong computer literacy skills.

You must be comfortable suggesting and implementing new ideas that improve the quality and integrity of the school. You understand that there are always new opportunities for improvement and ways to elevate our standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Lambda's course offerings and help students make an informed decision about which course is the best fit given their interests
  • Guide students through the application process all the way through precourse and enrollment
  • Respond to applicant and prospective student questions posted in Slack, Intercom, Facebook, and email in a friendly and timely manner
  • Schedule applicant interviews as needed and ensure timely followup with admissions decisions
  • Maintain course calendars and class lists for upcoming courses
  • Track confirmations and income share agreements
  • Data entry and integrity
  • Assist on related projects as required

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a customer service facing or enrollment role
  • High level of computer literacy required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable and effective when speaking with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Patient with a sunny disposition and a passion for helping others succeed
  • Self-starting with the ability to effectively work autonomously with little oversight
  • Intelligent, dedicated, flexible with a willingness to experiment
  • Exposure to programming desired

Big plus, if you....

  • are familiar with Zoom, Slack, and Airtable
  • have prior start up experience
  • have prior Salesforce experience

The position is a full-time, salaried role with medical benefits. We aim to find the right candidate and therefore do not have a set timeframe on hiring for this role.
