Co-Founder Sales / Marketing / Business Development (m/f)


Cluvio is one of the leading cloud analytics platforms for small and medium enterprises. We enable companies to track their most important metrics on highly interactive dashboards that can be shared with everyone in the team.

We launched our platform 8 months ago, are growing quickly and plan to win the market by offering simply the best user experience and functionality.

To help us take the company to the next level, we are looking for someone to join our team as Co-founder Sales / Marketing / Business Development. You should have very strong prior leadership experience in the field and be able take on ownership right away. We would like to work with someone who is a "chief doer", gets shit done and is a passionate and well articulated extrovert.

Your role

  • Be the public face of the company and build a strong and visible presence in the market
  • Own the business related areas of the company like sales (both SaaS-style and enterprise-style), marketing, PR and partnerships
  • Build up and lead a small sales / marketing team
  • Take ownership of the website and other online content, evolve the Cluvio brand
  • Develop and evolve customer acquisition channels
  • Deliver convincing product demos to leads and transform them into satisfied customers
  • Establish and improve relationships with existing customers and implement up-selling mechanisms
  • Identify strategic partners in pursuit of growth opportunities
  • Prepare for and participate in major industry events, trade fairs, conferences and meetups
  • Participate in fundraising and deliver exceptional pitches for investors
  • Establish and maintain relationships with journalists in the BI / analytics space

Your profile

  • You have excellent analytical and conceptual skills and critical thinking
  • You have at least 3-5 years experience selling digital products, preferably as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
  • You have good instincts on what works and matters in today’s highly dynamic business environment
  • Since Cluvio is a highly technical product for technical people, you should have a basic understanding of the domain (e.g. know what is SQL, what KPIs matter to companies, etc.)
  • Great if you are an avid blogger and active in engaging in online conversations
  • Experience with selling BI / Analytics products or complex technical software is a huge plus
  • You have a very good understanding of online marketing channels
  • You are data-driven and base your decisions on experiments, data and A/B testing
  • Your working style is highly pro-active and result oriented, you like to work independently
  • You work well under pressure and uncertainty and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You are able to communicate in a clear, concise way
  • You are willing to travel
  • You are fluent in English, German is a big plus
