The Role
As our KYC/AML Analyst, you will work closely with the operations, legal and compliance team owning the onboarding function responsible for our institutional clients and partners - funds, trading firms, exchanges, custodians, and fintechs.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Institutional & Investor Onboarding: Conduct end-to-end KYC/KYB onboarding for corporate clients, individual investors, funds, SPVs, trusts, and holding companies, including multi-tier ownership structure analysis and Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) identification.
- Risk Assessment & EDD: Prepare Customer Risk Assessments using a risk-based approach. Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk accounts, complex structures, and high-risk jurisdictions, including Source of Funds (SoF) and Source of Wealth (SoW) verification.
- Screening & Ongoing Monitoring: Execute real-time sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening. Monitor investors ongoing and escalate suspicious activity to the MLRO when necessary.
- Investigate onchain: Conduct wallet screening and blockchain investigations using Elliptic to identify exposure to sanctioned entities, illicit activity, and high-risk counterparties.
- Keep the file audit-ready: Contribute to maintaining audit-ready compliance records and regulatory evidence repositories.
- Exchange & Platform Onboarding: Lead and manage our company’s corporate onboarding applications onto third-party Centralized Exchanges (CEXs), VASPs, and banking partners, ensuring all institutional requirements and corporate documentation are fulfilled.
What We Are Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in KYC/AML, financial crime compliance, or client onboarding at a regulated financial institution, VASP/CASP, crypto exchange, or fintech.
- Hands-on experience onboarding corporate and institutional entities such as holding companies, funds, SPVs, trusts, nominee arrangements
- Working knowledge of the EU and UK AML frameworks, including AMLD5/6, the EU AML Package (AMLR and AMLA), the Transfer of Funds Regulation (Travel Rule), and FATF standards.
- Practical experience with screening and monitoring tooling such as Elliptic, Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or equivalents
- Comfort with blockchain analytics and wallet-level investigation is a nice-to-have: reading explorers, tracing flows, and assessing counterparty exposure across DeFi protocols and bridges.
- High attention to detail and the discipline to keep records complete and audit-ready under commercial time pressure.
- Familiarity with CEX onboarding workflows and the specific documentation required to establish institutional trading accounts.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. An additional European language is an advantage.
