Munich is hailed as one of the six startup strongholds in Germany, housing seven percent of Germany’s startup companies. Seventy-five percent of these startups are reported to be completely independent ventures which is great for startup jobs throughout the country. While most of the founders were males between the ages of twenty-one and thirty-one, founding teams of two or three people have been on the rise. In fact, only twenty-five percent of the startup economy has only one founder. The benefit to this in relation to startup jobs is that the more founders who are present, the more ideas and innovations are possible; thus, the more jobs are needed to fulfill those innovations. Another positive perspective for the Munich startup economy is the report that every tenth startup, still in the actual startup stage, has generated over a million dollars in revenue. Overall, the future of the startup economy is favorable, with nearly seventy-three percent of startups describing their future business situation as favorable.
